Ken FrederickManaging Director

Based in Pittsburgh, Ken works alongside the MMCA team and Mike Colella, as a Managing Director, to advise middle-market companies on mergers and acquisitions, valuation, corporate finance, and strategic growth initiatives.

With more than 15 years of experience spanning investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate finance, accounting, and operational leadership, Ken brings a unique combination of technical expertise, analytical rigor and practical business insight to every engagement.

Ken understands that every client has distinct goals, values, and priorities. He is committed to delivering thoughtful, data-driven advice and tailored solutions that preserve legacies, maximize value, and achieve the best long-term outcomes for business owners and stakeholders.

Before joining MMCA, he served as Vice President of Finance at an R&D biotechnology company, where he led financial management, capital funding initiatives, and strategic decision support. Earlier in his career, Ken held advisory roles at a Big Four firm, the region’s largest accounting firm, and a boutique accounting firm.

Ken holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and Economics from Geneva College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds additional credentials in business valuation, financial modeling, management accounting, and fraud examination.

In his free time, Ken enjoys keeping up with the Black and Gold and UNC sports teams – Go Heels! –, playing pick-up basketball, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
